๐ Fastest Ways For Steemit Minnows To Gain Steem Power ๐ก๐
It isn't easy to start from the bottom. ย Starting last year had its advantages and disadvantages. ย The platform wasn't as well developed. ย The follow button didn't work, you couldn't see when people posted comments on your post, at first there was no slider bar for voting so it was all or nothing for the big whales. ย The list goes on and on. ย What we did establish was a following and the friendships we formed. ย ย

In today's pool meeting we talk about @randowhale , ChainBB, @minnowbooster , @steemvoter
Building up the power overtime from nothing starts kind of slow but you want to be as smart about it as possible and do what the people who have more experience are doing. ย ย I see so many people just leaving their accounts dormant when they could set up @steemvoter for free and at least be earning a little bit of curation rewards overtime. ย ย Someday that could end up being worth a lot. ย ย

Thank you for reading my post and please consider following me @brianphobos

I'd advise people to start without the boost until they are confident there material is polished enough to get the votes. But after that boost away it a great way to get yourself noticed.
Personally I wouldn't worry about feeling like the material is polished or not. Sometimes I don't feel like my stuff is that good and then a bunch of people like it.
Thanks for this important information @brianphobos and thanks for all what you are doing here
I appreciate it!
U are welcome, And please visit my blog and helpcoz i'm a minnow

Happy 20th anniversary on Steemit!
Thank you! It was a long road and a lot of work and it is hard to believe it has been this long!
You must be exhausted. Maybe a dip in the pool will refresh you...
Exactly what I was thinking!
@brianphobos
your post gives us minnows hope...you are truly an awesome guy... upvoted & glad am following you.
how does this @steemvoter work?
need better clarification as most of my blog posts are really undervalued after soo much time and energy...but that dosnt stop me from being steeming hot... even my yesterdays blog were i differentiated male from female brains... needs serious help from whalesupport...
anyways...i shall keep working on the best option which means more engagements and rowing overtime...hoping to see people like you on top soon... feel free to comment & support some of my blog posts...
thanks
well you have to go to www.SteemVoter.com and make an account there and then you use your posting key for your account and you can set up autovoting rules to automatically upvote content. I suggest automatically upvoting stuff at the 30 minute mark. That way your are passively earning curation rewards. Also you can have bots follow a trail of human curators with www.Streemian.com
so how does boh ways help me....if i do auto upvoting dosnt it mean my voting power being drained off for nothing? if it dosnt suite me can i still reverse it,,,
thanks for your prompt response...
25% of the payout goes to the people who upvoted the content on a post. by upvoting people you get a "finders fee" which is the curation reward. Look at my https://steemd.com/@brianphobos the first entry right now is.
brianphobos curation reward: 0.020 SP for @jerrybanfield/re-brianphoboโฆ 32 minutes ago
You see that I earned 0.02 Steem Power Doesn't seem like much but just think about all the voting I'm doing both manually and bot driven and it starts racking up overtime. The more Steem Power you get the bigger the curation rewards get.
There are a lot of larger accounts that don't really post much but just operate powerful bots that auto upvote and their accounts get larger and larger.
Yeah it will drain you power for auto voting but don't worry about that when your account isn't worth that much. It doesn't really matter.
great and the curation comes in immediately without the one week gestation period...wait a minute....some of my post rewards usually get depleted until pay out day...does it mean its subtracton from those who upvoted that is depleting it?
you didnt explain if i can opt out once i am ok with it..or one am in...i cant opt out again?
just need all info and hope the questions are not too much
thanks
Yeah that is part of the reason your payout is lower for your posts once the 7 days hits. Only 75% gets paid to you. 25% goes to the people who upvoted it.
If you don't like the post that your bot upvoted you can click on it again to take your vote away.
ok thanks you have been very helpful but still waiting for answer on the opting out option. i.e, if you don't like to continue, is there option to remove yourself from the bot?
I like the approach you laid out here BP. Simple and sound advice, whether it's your first day or you 300th day. Good meeting man.
Yeah the thing that a lot of people don't realize is that the ChainBB situation is really amazing for new people getting on. If they just went ham on it for a week doing comments then they would actually have a decent amount of power to build from. And then just keep going. I calculated if someone really goes crazy they can make $100 / day from it putting in long days. Most aren't willing to do it but that would be like big money in some places and in a couple of weeks they could be a big step ahead. Oh well. I guess we will just keep going ham and say See Ya!
Bro, look back at cryptoctopus's post from a month or so ago, he kicked off the beta testing of chainbb with $3 upvotes for any comments through chainbb, there were only 20 or so users posting at that time, his voting power got zapped quick because of that and HF19 came about and he discontinued doing it. Jesta then stepped up and started, but at the current level, adjusting his voting percentage so voting power is stabilized, those guys know how to build stuff up and quick, damn. Geniuses abound in this place, i'm learning new shit all the time here. And you are a great teacher of many things as well dude.
$3 / comment would have been unreal for sure. Even at $0.07 to $0.10 it is a good play to go this route for sure.
Yeah, I agree, even at the current 7 cents level, it is an extremely generous and awesome thing these guys are doing to elevate the platform as a whole and boost usership on their experimental interfaces.
I totally agree! ๐
You said this in another meeting too. What do you mean by going ham?
Are you talking up voting every 20 seconds?
Or are you talking upvoting every ten minutes with comments in between?
How hammy does the hamming need to be?
Just vote and make relevant comments on people's post as fast as possible. Be everywhere! Realize that @papa-pepper has made over 20,000 comments. That is insane. I'm at 4900 and I signed up almost a year ago when he did. He kept going and never stopped. The dude is a beast!
Thanks!
Your welcome man!
This was really a great post. So many posts are on this but so inaccurate. Thank you for taking the time to write this.
Helloooo guy from the pool ;-) ! I am new on steemit.com and I have to thank you for all the help I got because of you and your channel on you tube! Now I'll follow you here too! :-)
Greetings from Slovenia! :-)
Thank you! That is interesting! You might be the first person who found my on YouTube first! That is good to know!
Its crazy how many forgotten accounts there are chillen with over 1000 steem, what a waste, im a minnow ill check out the pool meeting
Yeah I'm sure there are a lot and they could be at least running a bot and letting it build up. There are probably a ton of accounts where people are locked out of because they lost their password as well. That would suck for sure!
Yeah, it's annoying to know that no one could follow me in the beginning when my posts were very popular for a while last year!
@susanne
its a pity i wasn't on steemit then...would have backed you up...
seems hardwork and resilience which is a usual trait in female journalist is paying off and you already steemiing hot. That reminds me of my yesterday post on male and female brain power which is more efficient. A good read worthy of your time and support being that minnows like me needs established persons like you to boost them....;)
nice reply...you already won my followership...
Yeah that was a rough time for sure. Because one of the biggest things I was wanting to do was build my following. I was willing to put in the work for a payoff in the future and unfortunately a lot of it felt like it went out the window in some ways. You were extremely smart for making that Steemit hat and wearing it in your posts. Immediately it made you a real person. A lot of times back then when I would see a post with a girl in it I was always skeptical if they were real. I know that sounds bad but there were so many people pulling pictures off of Instagram and pretending to be someone else it was crazy. That is still happening but I don't feel like the situation is as bad because the Introduction posts aren't making huge amounts like they were last year at this time.
I will make sure to attend this pool meeting to see what I can learn from it.
