Hello everyone, today I want to tell you about the situation in my beloved country, the homeland of my mother and I. Today, it's very important for me to share the latest news about Malaysia. Before I went shopping with my friends at the big market in Kelantan, Malaysia, I had just spent some time on the phone with my mother in Johor, Malaysia. Of course, I'm very sad because the situation in Malaysia hasn't improved, and the prices of staple foods and other economic goods have risen drastically.

My mother is very worried about me because Malaysia is currently experiencing political tensions and the prices of goods are skyrocketing. Furthermore, the Malaysian Ministry of Public Order has appealed to all Malaysians to inform them that prices will increase and there will be no change in the price reduction, as the prices of goods and other things have been set and cannot be changed.

In this post, I have quite a lot to say. Today, after I got home from work with my friends, I went to the main market to buy our monthly necessities, such as vegetables, rice, and other things. We are quite saddened here because the prices of goods have risen so high, and there is no possibility of them going down again, as the Malaysian Ministry has appealed to all Malaysians.

This is truly very sad. It's not just Malaysia that is experiencing price increases; many countries in Asia are experiencing the pressure of this major change.

Why is my country of birth getting healthier? Our ministers have appealed to the welfare of the native Malaysian people. Malaysia is not a place for foreigners to stay🫶.

And causing an increase in the price of goods and is undergoing major changes, As far as I know because, many foreigners migrate to Malaysia, especially India, and several other countries, And on June 14th, the Malaysian ministry has tightened Visas, and Permits for people who migrate to the country I love. Not only that, On June 15, 2026, there will be major changes but this makes me very happy. Because in the next few days Visas and permits will be stricter and higher to extend them.

Why do I say that and I am very happy because there is this big change, because it is no longer easy for foreign citizens to make a comfortable stay in my beloved country, namely Malaysia, On June 14th, quite a lot of foreign citizens were arrested because their visas and permits were no longer active. According to information from our work office, this is very good to do so that foreign citizens are increasingly discouraged from living in Malaysia, with the changes that will take place now, it will certainly not be easy for foreign citizens to stay in Malaysia forever.

And the Malaysian ministry has warned, There will be big changes taking place, and Malaysia is not a place to accommodate people who are not native Malaysians. That's why the price of visas and permits has increased so much now. However, this is only the beginning and on June 25 it will be fixed permanently, because Malaysia is not a place to accommodate foreign citizens. I am really very happy with the firmness of the current Minister of President of Malaysia in his words ❤️.

The cost of extending a permit in Malaysia, as of June 25th, is already very strict. It varies between RM1,110 and RM5,648 for domestic workers, and around RM2,848 to RM15,020 for formal sector or professional workers. The increase will be approximately threefold. That's why the Malaysian ministry is so strict because foreign nationals can only vacation for a limited period of one month.

After coming home from a busy workday, we, along with our colleagues in Kelantan, went shopping for our monthly stock. The prices are so high now

After hearing this information, my colleagues and I went to the big market after work to buy our basic food needs. I truly didn't expect prices to rise and become permanent. However, some Asian countries have seen drastic price increases, suggesting this significant change could become permanent across Asia.

I deliberately rushed to work today because our needs in rural Kelantan had run out. My colleagues and I went shopping together, pooling our money, as we were still on assignment for the next few months.

Before I continued shopping, we first worked together while shopping, as we were very careful to save money. Then I talked to my friends about what foods or vegetables could last longer when stored in the refrigerator. After we worked together while shopping, we were confident enough to shop for the items we needed for our economic needs with my colleagues.

Today, it's clear, just the first phase, that many foreign nationals are no longer shopping, likely having returned to their home countries. Typically, on Sundays and Mondays, there are quite a few foreigners shopping at large markets. But today seems quiet, due to the strict enforcement of permits and the increase in visa and permit prices on June 14th. It's likely that with these major changes, Malaysians and Malays will become stronger and the country of my birth will become even more glorious.

I was to see the current prices. Less than a kilo of chilies can cost (RM128-USD25), and not only that, other types of vegetables have reached exorbitant prices, reaching over USD50. Moreover, the prices of rice and oil have skyrocketed permanently in Malaysia. A sack of limited edition rice can cost as much as a second-hand motorcycle, haha.

My colleagues and I went shopping for our monthly supplies. We bought vegetables, chilies, shallots, and several sacks of rice. We spent all our money on our monthly food supply, which was around 1,800. In dollars, that's around $460 USD.

After shopping, we decided to take a taxi because our groceries were so heavy. My colleagues and I took a taxi home to our home in rural Kelantan.
