Well written, and valid points. Still being a relative newbie it is still hard to wrap my head around the rewards benefits, how it affects me. I am focused on producing high quality content for all to see and read, the rewards are a bonus. I am lucky to have received votes from the odd whale or two, but my overall influence is still very small. A lot of users don't read the content as you said, so it is difficult to "feel" the true community spirit. I am not complaining as it is a great thing to receive a gift from someone who appreciates the work, a far cry from other platforms. Thanks for your words :)
