Welcome! You can't use html for your image. It didn't show up. Upload your image to steemimg.com then just copy and paste the "image url" into your post. It took me a couple posts to realize that.

Yeah no worries.. I recommend reading as much as you can about Steem because there is a lot to learn and it is so new.
