RE: Steemit Update [July 19th, 2026] : Steemit Challenge Season 33 - Week 2
You try to innovate a little, almost every season has been the same type of contest. Every season you confirm about eight to ten applications, of which eighty percent are the same, i.e. going to a nearby place, eating and drinking or describing how a shop works, that's the whole gibberish. I really want to participate in every season, but all the contests are different in name only, but inside they are all the same. And the horses are really annoying in so many places. You sometimes do something very creative which I like a lot. One of them you selected was hosted by @kouba01 who basically taught how to do videography and he gave complete freedom to the contest to record videos like this but it was completely up to the contestants to make videos with any object or subject. I'm not saying that you are eliminating such contests, currently you have selected eight contests, out of which six are the same type. And the remaining two are different which is suitable. You can teach many things in each competition that anyone can do and can easily participate in the competition. For example, if you select ten competitions, out of the current similar competitions like exploring places, going to the beach or the like, you do only two of them. Then keep the rest creative like photography, video editing, HTML, Python, videography, cinematography, how to solve a real problem, etc. which will upgrade our skills and will be useful in our real life. I am not saying that exploring places or blogging are not beneficial, but you should reduce such competitions a little, like instead of eight, you select only two and give a chance to the rest that I mentioned. This is my opinion, because I think that many people will be able to participate in this even though I myself cannot participate in any competition. I repeat, I am not opposing such competitions, I want something more creative to come along with these. Similar competitions take over the entire season. Everyone can participate in this competition and many people do not want to participate, as you can see very well in the current season. If you go to the competition that was held last week, there was a movie-related competition and about 30 to 40 people participated in that competition, but not so many people participated in the other competitions. Thank you.
I suggest apart from official Steem Atlas no other challenges should ask for PIN on Steem Atlas and keep them as a beneficiary as they are not trained to check PIN and also there are not enough ambassadors to check the posts.

Don't you think that the same type of competition is happening now, all the competitions are the same, there is no change. You have also hosted competitions before, what is your opinion?

My opinion is not important but it's in the steemblog's point of view which matters. I am sure keeping users in mind they will take a decision.
Yes I totally agree with you. We want more practical challenges where we learn something new or we polish our skills. We love Steem Atlas but 1 or 2 challenges are enough for it.

Thank you. I hope they will notice & fix this @steemitblog
You are absolutely right. I was also wondering about the lose of interest of participants in the Steem Atlas challenges. Further more , Applicants who drop applications with daily life themes also showing inactive . Every month I also come with new theme but my applications also not considered.. I also suggest to over look applications wich are not related with Steem Atlas... So that participants enhance their engagement in each challenge. And Steemit platform grow with successfully.

I completely agree with you. While having a 'Steam Atlas' is certainly valid, it tends to limit the scope of other topics. For one thing, the engagement aspect doesn't offer much novelty; it essentially boils down to just going out and taking photographs.
As a woman, the requirement to photograph different locations—especially when there are five challenges in a week, each involving a different place—poses a significant difficulty. I cannot simply stand around with a camera at every location, which prevents me from participating in such competitions; consequently, the number of engagement challenges available to us is greatly reduced. This is my personal opinion. I believe that other topics should be included as well—ones that people would find enjoyable to participate in.

I completely agree with you. We must also accept some challenges that provide us with better content. In which we learn different things like we share our ideas about movies, cooking. The one that has been selected this time, painting, is also a good challenge. But it is not good to use the same challenge again and again because there are five challenges that are based on Steem Atlas. We do not want Steem Atlas not to be promoted, but we want it to be kept on a separate page. We should also add some challenges that promote our real life and eliminate the problems in our life. Let us learn different things, not give reviews about the same thing again and again. Giving reviews of whatever is around us does not give us much good benefit. Good benefit will come when we learn something when our skills enhance. When we teach something to others, we will benefit others. So I agree with your point that in order to learn something good, we will have to bring along some challenges that will push us forward.

Thank you. But I am not getting any reaction from @steemitblog Steem official 😔
We are just sitting here to advise them, the rest they will run this platform as they wish.
Thanks so much, but though I'm still new here and still learning the network. Hope to get more experience ☺️
