Magnetic susceptibility is such an important characteristic. Geophysists do the real magic with it. I use kappameters in the field to access the 'freshness' of rocks. And it helps a lot. Sometimes the eye is just not enough :)

you cant use your eyes to measure the magnetic susceptibility of a rock...dats y a kappameter is used in the field, thanks for your comment.
