A STEEM VIDEO :- How to Make Chatpatti Suhal Papdi Chaat
Today, everyone at home was craving chaat, so I decided to make some. I prepared Suhal Papdi Chaat. Making chaat involves quite a bit of work. I had soaked the white peas early in the morning and also set the tamarind to soak in water. I then prepared the tamarind chutney.
Once the white peas were sufficiently soaked, I boiled them in a pressure cooker, adding a pinch of salt and baking soda. Next, I prepared the papdis: I mixed refined oil and salt into all-purpose flour (maida) and rubbed the mixture thoroughly. Then, using water, I kneaded it into a dough. I let this dough rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
Afterward, I placed a pan (kadhai) on the stove to heat some oil and rolled the dough into small balls. I rolled each ball into a circle, folded it into a triangular shape, and deep-fried the pieces.
At the time of serving, I took the triangular Suhal Papdis I had prepared. I placed the boiled peas on top, sprinkled them with salt and chili powder, and then added yogurt and chutney. Finally, I garnished them with salt, chili powder, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and chopped onions before serving. And just like that, my Suhal Papdi Chaat was ready!
