A STEEM VIDEO :- Make sweet and sour pickle from raw mangoes.
Today, I am preparing a quick and easy sweet-and-sour pickle using raw mangoes. The preparation method is extremely simple, and it requires very few ingredients. Raw mangoes are readily available during the summer season.
Method
Take the raw mangoes, peel them, wash them, and then slice them into thin pieces. Next, pour some oil into a pan. Once the oil is hot, temper it with cumin seeds and asafoetida (hing). Then, add ground coriander, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Add the thinly sliced mango pieces and give it a good stir. Now, pour in about half a glass of water—or just enough water to ensure that all the thin mango slices are completely submerged.
Cover the pan with a lid. Once the thin mango slices begin to soften and cook through, add the sugar and garam masala. Continue to cook until the sugar has dissolved completely and the mixture has thickened slightly; at that point, turn off the gas. Our sweet-and-sour mango pickle is now ready!
