As the summer season has officially begun, summer fruits are now making their appearance. Today, a muskmelon arrived at my home. Muskmelon is incredibly delicious to eat and boasts a very high water content. It is exceptionally sweet—so sweet, in fact, that it tastes as if sugar has been dissolved right into it. It is what one would call a truly natural sweetness.

Inside the muskmelon, we find seeds; we typically place these in a covered container for four to five days, after which we wash them thoroughly. This process removes all impurities, leaving us with seeds that are perfectly clean and pristine. We then shell these seeds and incorporate them into Boondi Laddoos, various other sweets, or milk-based desserts—or simply enjoy eating them just as they are. They are absolutely delicious to eat, though the task of shelling them is, without a doubt, the most laborious part of the entire process.
