We quadrastand humans. Or so we believe. It’s actually an impossible claim because we do not have an adequately large enough dataset, nor the organic brain capacity for the task. However, in the 21st century, these facts don’t matter. We need only make the declaration, and “Voila,” it’s true, without question or logic.
Anyone who does attempt to question our declarations, are labeled from a list of current dismissive adjectives, (haters, racists, narcissists, saboteurs, heretics, etc), canceled, silenced, delegitimized, excommunicated, and sent to the corner, crowned with the conical “dunce cap” and put on display for all to witness. The dunce was not incorrect. She was simply wrong. There’s a difference.
We quadrastand humans. We use this quadrastanding to adjust our course along this path which has opened before us.
As we approach our 2000th day on his journey, we have been questioning the relevance of our documentation. We do not question the journey itself. Simply the exhaust. We are making the trip anyway. And we have made our commitment to chronicle this trip. However, our human Ego wonders, “Are our videos, essays and art, making an impact? Is it relevant?”
That’s a typical thought for Ego to express. But then it trickles into the Soul a little bit. It’s like how humans describe an “infection.” You know what infection means right? Some feckin’ bugaboo gets in. Like those humans that started this stuff about… whatever. Think about a mental infection you carried with you for over half of your life, until someone casually tells you, “That never happened. It was the Mandela Effect!” And you’re like, “Oh.” And you live happily ever after.
Every hundred days is a new season/century milestone of Full Metal Ox, but a thousand days. That’s something special. We probably won’t do a special, unless day 2001 aligns with a Hepdekad, or Long Play Day. Otherwise, it’s just another 11:11 Ox Drop.
Since this article and its companion audio will likely run for ten or more days, allow Us, the Trinity, to reassert our commitment.
Full Metal Ox is a Twelve Year plan. What’s the plan? To produce and publish an episode a day, (at least one, as it turns out), for the duration of the plan. That’s 4,383 days. We’ve been making episodes since before the dark days of Covid. We’ve only been counting Full Metal Ox days since 2021.
The image is that of a caravan. Ancient in its imagery. Imaginary in its structure. And metaphorical in its concept.
We, the Trinity, have set out on this journey. We chronicle it, package it, and share it. Those who want to follow, are welcome. As is. We don’t alter the course, or the amenities to suit our guests or new seekers. (Just had a moment of deja vu. Have I written this before, or have the machines changed the matrix? Again.) Journeys of this type and duration are, or can become uncomfortable. Indeed, they undulate. The environment can appear harsh and unwelcoming, but sometimes it can appear lush and inviting. To connect metaphor with fact, your humble vagabond might create a literary piece that many humans agree with or can “connect” to, so they hop on board. Weeks later, our observations may become discordant with your degree of ignorant bliss, and you’re looking to disembark at the next oasis.
That’s fine. We get it. This is why we don’t get wrapped up in analytics. The only stats that affect us are how many days out on the road we are. We don’t even check how many more days we have to go before we enter the year of the Water Ox. (Just noticed, the Water Ox Year begins, February 1st, so there will be less than 4,383 days in our series.)
Just before we complete the twelve year journey, the plan is to create a proper podcast, radio-show, of sorts. This is where those entities that have made the trip, whole or partially, get their “rewards.” More on that as we continue on down the road.
We, the Trinity, want to be lucid and transparent. We have goals. We are building a Secret City of individual funders and supporters. Like-minded humans who can support our ideas because they can.
