Hi Steemers,

There has been a rumor around the pits since the weekend that Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing rider, Zach Osborne had suffered an injury in practice that would sideline him for the start of the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross Series.

Unfortunately, this has been confirmed by the team in a press release.

The injury requires surgery, which will take place tomorrow and has a four to six week recovery time. Only a few days away from the opening round of AMA Supercross, Osborne was due to make is 450SX class debut aboard the FC 450 Rockstar Edition."

"I am extremely bummed at the timing of this injury. I feel that I have reached a level of riding that I never had in my career, on a bike that I'm so very comfortable with. I know that everything happens for a reason and I'll be back as soon as possible!"

There has been some speculation that recently released rider, Dean Wilson would pick up the stand in ride for the team. This would obviously be the natural choice but with a strong privateer sponsorship program in place im not sure he would jerperdise this for a short term Factory deal. I wonder if Wilson will work something out though and perhaps will ride under the teams awning for a while? Interesting nonetheless.

Deano to the rescue! Damn shame to see Osborne sidelined though. It's still going to be a stellar year!

It's possible but not sure it would work with his new sponsors... i know Rockstar are part of that program but i can see him riding out from their awning... I agree, shame to lose Osborne this early... Pressure will be on when he returns!
