RE: What supermarkets are good for
Much will be learned here until such time that I am at liberty to explain more. Got to make breakfast for someone who just got up. Use your posting key to access your Wallet, and use your active key to power up or down, and never use you main key.
TADA! Yes, that's the one I was looking for.
Time for the OAP home for me... it helps if you LOG INTO the wallet... I've cleared the doorstep, I'm in. Need a sit-down now. Will be asking your advice on mobility tools next. It goes soooo slow (all of a sudden after you pass 50) to remember anything new. You've got to practice every day. The widows in Greece and Italy have the right idea: they just stick to knitting the live long day.
Well since the wallet was split off from steemit, it works a little different. When you use your wallet to transact/transfer/power up/down and it prompts you to stay logged in do not click that option since it keeps you logged in with your active key!!
I also keep my keys on USB flash drives, convenient should you want to log in from a different machine, difficult to hack something that isn't connected, and having a second copy of your keys in a drawer somewhere provides a bit of safety.
I always have my steemworld page open and made it a bookmark in my browser. If you want the feed, click on that. if you want your wallet click on that. It's very quick and convenient.
Yes the bookmark function I use - and have a 27 inch screen to cope with them all and then some.
The USB flash drive is a handy reminder, thank you. Only I might have to wait till my son has left the house permanently and I have changed the locks, because all my drives are always snatched no matter where I hide them. This will be soon. (Although try finding a locksmith you can trust!).
This automatic voting setting (I am still not sure can be combined with the Sukhasanasister project, but worth researching anyway) where was that again? Were there not various ways to sign up for that? Some more kosher than others?
What is this delegation section?
I don't do auto votes, but I can find out for you if you want. People use bid bots to get their posts on the trending page, but I thought you were not after a bigger audience. I tried a few bid bots on a handful of posts, but never saw a return larger than what I had paid for the service and came to the conclusion that having friends with more VP was more effective.
I thought there was a time I was on your automatic voting system. I still get votes from malloryblythe for example and she's completely vanished into the world of finance (or worse, with bouts of severe melancholia). Where do those auto votes come from? I don't think it's for me, at this stage in the project, but I am broadly orientating myself rather haphazzardly (or creatively shall we say).
Indeed, you know me well enough, I have no interest in paying for anything I can do better myself. Thinking of taking a plumbing course actually, now I think that last sentence over.
So many replies, where do I start? (thank you!) No, I wouldn't take you for a simpleton (emoji reply), far from it, and auto vote your posts? I don't have it in me to lay such insult, not addressed to you anyway, I read all your posts that I voted on. I will admit that in the past I didn't always have time to read them more than once, and this may happen again soon when I have to spend more time on sound production. I'll try my best to keep up, Movie shoot starts tomorrow morning.
There are sites where you can delegate your Steem Power to earn passive income, and referring to a shortage of time, I can see why some do it. I get an auto vote from Beth, but her medical condition often slows her down. This tactic just isn't for me unless I withdraw from reading posts on steemit altogether, but where is the fun in that?
? (favorite emoji face)? what does this mean? Part of sukhasanasister's STEEM POWER is currently delegated. Delegation is donated for influence or to help new users perform actions on steemit. Your delegation amount can fluctuate.
I delegated 500 steem to your account so you can determine whether you want to power up before you tie up your steem. I have thousands delegated to my alts to restore my rep.
Is it still so that there is no point upvoting a post older than 3 days?
Do new replies to old posts also stay old? Do these replies surfact to the top?
Do people still upvote replies and does it make any economic sense? It used to be all about political correctness. but stuff that now. Where's the money is my question now! (before I power up to actually put my money where my mouth is).
Posts can only generate a payout from votes in the first 5 or 6 days. After that you can still up vote an older post or comment, you will lose the VP for that vote, but the recipient will only see the green triangle appear in Steemworld but no payout. Original replies to posts are ordered chronologically until the vote difference changes the order to the highest vote first.
Yes people still up vote replies and I'll be up voting as many of yours as I can. I think new replies are just that, new replies and open to receive a vote within the first 5-6 days.
You don't have to power up, you can use mine. If I didn't have other coins I can cash out, I would not have powered up Steem. Remember that it takes a minute to power up, but 13 weeks to power it back down.
I woke up with the idea to vote replies. Okay so it was a little voice. And these little voices are very cute because the less immortal side of my twin is also a sceptic, but they are becoming more and more insistent about any number of things. Inconveniently so? I would not know what convenience was anymore, I just appreciate all the help I can get.
On a less rambling note: I too shall be replying to votes, maybe even extremely so. (More on my extremism tomorrow).
If only because they are posts an sich. Take my sweet friend, the ever melancholic Persian Sina-adventure. He then gets a cent, on one of his off days, when he kindly makes the effort to communicate by way of a reply. I mean, lets face it, you need to be a hero to get through a post of mine (even skimmingly). That needs rewarding. Especially if you have Farsi for your first language. Excellent command of English anyway, and a relatively thorough reader (but the TEFL teacher feels so bad about all that gets lost in the nuance now I will not consider my potential larger audience as minimally multi-lingual and overdosed on cup-cakes, and therefore no longer let them cramp my style (okay, so I never was very big on the compromise) - I can feel in advance - how misconstrued I have to be in his ears. But he is valuable to me: a guy who hardly knows what he is doing here, but more to the point, he has brought here that he does not knowing what he is doing out there . An invaluable layer of truth.
The reply-voting seems to be important to my project. Or voting in general, for I don't feel like voting at all to anything that doesn't layer on. It's the most exhausting part of being here, and I almost admire the guys by the pool doing this for a living.
But how would that sit with the finer workings of the System. Sort of feeding into a very small pool. It's all peanuts, not even, but as above, so below, knock on effects and all that.... I watched the Big Short twice but must try again. All totally legit but defeating the main aim of generating more and more and more through the main idea of curating. Suppose one backtracked and replied, and that reply got upvoted, then the core premise of keeping the product (content) in motion is going to get another flavour. Hopefully a richer, deeper one. But I am not sure it can economically work and then I am not a Michael Burry (Christian Bale) and I lose my track of my thought about what I am really seeing, because I lack the knowledge of how things work. This is why I have to keep on asking you dumb questions.
The delegation now explained, it is gift to the project (i.e. to all extents and purposes claiming full responsibility: me) . I was just writing about why I wasn't powering up, in a post for tomorrow...so we are on track with that one too. Thank you very much, it has given me a 0.001 cent presence!
I wiggle happily.
Since it looks like I will soon not need the up vote from my alt, I will at that time reallocate some of it's SP to you to yield 0.02 because anything less is pixie dust. You can vote at 100% about 10 times a day because that is all that will be regenerated in 24 hours. I'll take care of our Persian friend for now.
Big smile.
You forgot to wish me a broken leg for tomorrow, oh wait, that was theater, never mind.
I already sent our Persian friend a few votes and my rep is back up to 31, at this rate redistributing my delegations may happen sooner than expected. I want to be certain though, because I'd hate to be put in the position where I'd have to undo the delegation to repair the damage from yet another flagging. On the other hand, Steem is dropping so buying some more is not out of reach. Look forward to reading your next post.
