Full Steem Ahead!! - 6 Weeks in and loving it
I have learnt a lot in the 6 weeks I have been here. I had a slow start, not knowing Steemit was all about, and what I was getting myself in for. But now, six weeks in, I am on the brink of having gained 300 followers, and in a few hours time will recieve a reward from this post, which will almost double my account value. That is AMAZING!!
I am truly humbled and thankful to every one of you who have upvoted, commented or resteemed my posts.

My profile:
According to my profile I have almost 300 posts. I know it's way less than some, but for me that is an achievement on its own. I'm not one to put myself out there and interact with people I haven't met, but somehow Steemit and the Steemit community has made me feel really welcome and at ease.
I have also had some really enlightening conversations around a ramge of topics, and some good debates as well. Throughout the experience the level of respect between Steemians has been fantastic.
The best part of Steemit: Community
That's right!! The community spirit I have experienced here, epsecially having been inducted into #teamaustralia, is like no other social platform I have seen. Even when I haven't had much material to post, I have been able to interact and enjoy some friendly banter in the posts of others. That has made Steemit so much more enjoyable.
If there is one piece of advice I could give to anyone just starting, it would be "Engage, get involved, and just be you. You'll learn as you go, just GO!!
Full Steem ahead!!! Thank you all!!

Congratulations on your achievement
Keep up the great work Brett. We must admit - this is one nice looking post.

Mate, @bmj loving the enthusiasm and agree with all you have said, but I am having a prick of a time as a newbie finding my way around this platform. I think I joined up to Team aus but apart from searching for it can't find it here on Steemit at all.
That said I've only been here a week or so and the platform is not very redneck friendly, @bmj how do you find the Team aus threads or see all the input here from fellow Aussies ?
Hi @southerncross. I have reached out to you previously, but you are not yet on the TeamAus list. You are very welcome to join though. If you'd like to be part of it, then please check out this link for the instructions: https://steemit.com/teamaustralia/@choogirl/team-australia-new-recruits-update-23-07-17-and-aggroed-s-minnow-make-out-challenge
Glad to meet you @southerncross. Steemit can be daunting at first, and it's easy to feel totally lost with all that's gong on. You're off to a pretty good start, so keep going.
If you're looking for all the latest #teamaustralia blogs, you can find them here: https://steemit.com/created/teamaustralia
@choogirl will look after you as far as joining the team, just do exactly what she tells you and you'll be on your way in no time. #teamaustralia is the best community here.
It's good to have you in TeamAus @bmj. You always post something good.
Interesting post. . Thankyou for sharing @bmj. . Help upvote my post. . .
