Small humans with big actions

We say that we humans are very insignificant when we compare our place in the Universe in the larger scheme of things. Even when I stand on top of the mountain I feel I am so small and insignificant in front of them. But then to think of it, even with we being so small in front of the Universe, we human species are the only one who are there in the entire observable Universe and we are the only one who has been studying the laws of the Universe and exploring it. So, even if we are small in front of it we are so very important in front of it. When our satellites and probes are out there which are all created by us humans, there is no other presence, when our people are venturing out in space, it's not like we have neighbors coming to greet us over there. We are the only ones there with absolutely no competition.

With science and technology advancing we have crossed the Sun's corona, in 2024 it made the closest approach 3.8 millions miles from the Sun's surface, that's indeed an achievement. All of this is helping us learn about the outer space and how it's impacting our planet Earth and what actions we can take to protect our planet. We made robotic landings on Venus and Mars, got images of a black hole, taking samples from Mars, and so many other such achievements. Not to miss the most important one the James Webb Space Telescope, giving us the deepest views of the Universe we have ever had and Voyager 1 completing 1 light day out there in space. The most recent lunar Artemis II mission which created a new milestone in the space history.

So many accomplishments in space only done by one species, which is by us humans, and yet we say we are insignificant. May be power wise yes, we do not have much of power in the Universe, we can easily fail but with our knowledge and wisdom we are still conquering it and achieving one after another success. We stand on top of the mountain and feel so small in front of it, but to look at it in a different way, we have been able to climb and conquer it, even the harshest one, like the Everest.

With time we will achieve more and more and some day may be we will be actually be able to travel at the speed of light in the Universe and find habitable planets which can become our second home.
