🎂My Birthday Wish(es)🍰

So aside from tomorrow (today) being Easter Sunday and April Fool's Day, it is also my birthday. Every now and again I get 3 holidays wrapped into one. As you can tell from the picture, I am officially considered an old fart by my dad. I gave him some hell on his 40th so it's only fair I suppose. Happy Birthday to me. This is the only card I got in the mail so it's a little more special, even if it is a nose rub.

I'm hoping, given the unique nature of the day, all the stars are aligned and this full moon tonight on top of maybe some divine intervention, that my wish comes true. You see, my dad isn't in the greatest of health. He plays it off well, through humor and fishing tales, but I know it's just a cover. He has over 100 jumps as a ranger which has taken a toll on his back and knees. He also has some heart trouble, COPD, and most recently was diagnosed with diabetes. But he stays strong because my mother is even worse off with her diverticulitis. She is basically on a liquid diet and is showing early stages of either Alzheimer's or dementia.

One of my 'whys', if you will. I need to be a lot more successful here. I need to move them back to Tennessee and take care of them. I feel like it's not moving fast enough and I'm putting a lot of effort in with minimal rewards. I think I've probably put more into this than anything I've done in the past dozen or so years and feel like I'm just spinning my tires in a mud rut. I'm patient, I know it'll come, just have to flesh it out. So I guess my wish is that some heavy hitters add me in their autovoter and I start averaging $50-$100 a post. The curation alone has got to be worth it right?

I screwed up a post the other day and it was total shit because of the tags I used. I misspelled the first one so it had to be trashed. Despite saying 'don't vote on this', I got what was it @bethalea, 70+? Which isn't bad for an absolute waste of blockchain space. But it got me thinking, have I really arrived? Do people think I'm valuable enough to keep votes on a total piece of garbage?

As busy as I've gotten trying to keep track of all my peoples and family members in #thealliance, I have been doing a lot less personal writing like my @steemitcomics issues and very rarely anymore, am I able to do music. Maybe my time management just sucks? In an average week, between the accounts I run, I'm posting upwards of 30 posts a week. NONE of them go beyond about 6 or seven dollars without the help from a bot vote or two. That's depressing when you collectively combine the followers to roughly 7000. If they all voted just a penny...omg I would have $70.00 in posts minimum per day. That being said, I'm going to start condensing a few things and free up some of my time so I can do more things I love. Do you realize I haven't even written a poem in over 6 months? I've only written a few lyrics and couple stories in that same time span. I keep telling people to be themselves but I am forgetting to be me.
