The Diary Game: 14th July, 2026. A Quiet Day of Rest, Work, and Recovery
Good evening my amazing family! I'm back again to share how my day went. Today's diary is a little different because I wasn't feeling my best, but I'm grateful that I still made it through the day.
Last night, I started feeling feverish after all the activities from the day. My body was already giving me signs that it needed rest, so I couldn't even make my usual steemit post. I dropped my phone, lay down to rest, and before I knew it, I had fallen asleep.
When I woke up this morning, I said my prayers and decided to take things easy. Since I wasn't feeling too strong, I stayed indoors throughout the day. Sometimes our bodies remind us that it's okay to slow down, and today was one of those days for me.
The first major thing on my schedule was a virtual meeting with my colleagues at work. We joined a Google Meet around 8:30 a.m., and the meeting lasted for about an hour. Even though I wasn't feeling completely fine, I was glad I could attend and keep up with work.
After the meeting, I wanted to prepare something to eat. I had some stew left, but unfortunately, I discovered that it had spoiled and that was because i wasn’t strong to warm it last night. I was honestly disappointed because I wasn't feeling well enough to cook something elaborate. It was just one of those little moments that can make an already stressful day feel a bit more frustrating. Instead of dwelling on it, I decided to make the best of the situation. I boiled some rice and made a fresh stew while i disposed the spoiled stew.
Even though I wasn't at my strongest, I still managed to do a few chores around the house. I swept my room, washed my plates, and tried to keep my surroundings neat. I've noticed that a clean space somehow makes me feel a little better, even when I'm under the weather.
During my free time, I spent some time on Facebook and WhatsApp, watching a few short videos and replying to messages. I also reached out to one of my baby girl via WhatsApp call to wish her a happy birthday.
Later in the afternoon, work called From about. I worked on a data entry task using my laptop. It took some concentration, but I was happy to complete what needed to be done despite not feeling my best.
Looking back, today wasn't filled with big achievements or exciting outings. It was simply a day of balancing work, rest, and taking care of myself. Although I wasn't feeling well, I'm thankful that I had the strength to get through my responsibilities one step at a time.
I'm hoping to wake up feeling much stronger tomorrow. Good health is truly one of God's greatest blessings, and days like this remind me never to take it for granted.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my day. I truly appreciate your support. I hope you're staying healthy, taking good care of yourselves, and having a wonderful week.
