THE DAILY GAME: 27th July, 2026 | Pushing Through a Tiring Monday

in #thediarygame14 days ago

Today started with one of those classic Monday feelings. I woke up feeling really, really tired. If there’s one day of the week I struggle with the most, it’s definitely Monday. But responsibilities don’t wait, so I had to push past the exhaustion and get ready for the day.

Before leaving for work, I washed my clothes as well as my sister’s. I swept outside while she took care of the inside of the house, and I warmed up the food we had left from the previous night for breakfast. Once everything was done, I got ready and headed out.

As expected, everywhere was busy because it was Monday morning. Thankfully, I didn’t spend too much time waiting before I found a cab heading to my workplace.

When I got to work, I started with the usual cleaning. I handled most of it before my colleague arrived to help finish up. After that, the day settled into a calm routine. Surprisingly, for a Monday, work was quite quiet.

I spent most of my time focusing on my scholarship course, and I’m happy with the progress I’m making. I’ve successfully completed Module One and Module Two, and I’m now working through Module Three. Seeing myself move forward one module at a time reminds me that consistency really does pay off.

Even with that progress, today wasn’t an easy day mentally. I felt mentally, emotionally, and financially drained. My body was exhausted, and I just couldn’t shake off the feeling of being overwhelmed. Being broke definitely added to the weight I was carrying today, but I reminded myself that this season won’t last forever.

We closed for the day as usual, and my boss dropped us off at our junction. I got home, had dinner, and spent some time chatting with a friend before calling it a night.

Nothing extraordinary happened today, but sometimes simply showing up, doing your best, and continuing to move forward is enough. Today was one of those days, and I’m proud that I kept going.

Thank you for reading today’s Daily Game. See you in the next one.
