Daily diary: July 21, 2026.Just a normal day.

Hello guys, good evening.I'm Joy star,and I want to share with you guys how my day went today.Today was just like every other day for me, nothing too special, but I’ll tell you guys everything that happened.

I woke up this morning like I do every other day.I brushed my teeth, then I did my normal morning chores, fetched water, watched plate,swept the ground and my mom's goat shed,then I quickly took my bath and started getting ready for work.On my way to work the road looked quite deserted so I plugged in my earpiece and tried to listen to music though at a low volume.

After some minutes I finally got to work my boss have not arrived, yet so I opened the door with the spare key he gave me.

So I'm currently learning computer at a place that’s not to close to my house. That's the work I've been mentioning since. it not actually a salary paid work I just wanted to acquire a skill.My boss is actually a very nice man. He understands us. He even gave me and my other colleague a key to the shop because we are the bigger ones. The other boy is still quite small, so he doesn’t have a key yet, and he doesn’t usually come on time . He gave us the keys because he didn't want is to just keep standing while waiting for him if he came to shob late.

Today I got to the shop a bit late. It was a few minutes after 9 o clock. The first thing I did was to clean the shop. I swept everywhere, arranged things, dusted the furnitures and systems,and made sure the place was neat.

I was the only apprentice in the shop that morning.One of my fellow apprentice was in school , and the other one came later in the day.After cleaning, I sat down and scrolled through my phone a little. When electricity was restored, I quickly rushed to charge my phone. By then my boss had already arrived. My boss was really busy then so we didn't start lessons on time to kill time and make me less bored I picked up a novel to read. It’s a book by a Ghanaian writer though it also tells the story of Nigeria all together.

After some time, one of my colleague came in, sat down for a while, then said he was hungry and went back home to eat.A few minutes later, when my boss got less busy, we started our lessons. I’m still a beginner I haven’t spent up to 1 month at the shop yet. But I’m trying to cope combined with the fact that my boss is a skilled and gifted teacher.Today he taught me some deep aspects of Microsoft Word, He showed me how to type an employment form,how to properly format it, and how to insert a passport photograph on it. He also taught me other things like spacing, alignment, and saving documents properly.
I’m really getting better now, so I know that with time I’ll begin to advance my knowledge.

While my boss was teaching me and we were almost done with the lesson, the other apprentice came back. So my boss had to do a brief recap and teach him the same things again.We finished our lessons for today quite late, that was because we also started late. It was a few minutes after three when we finally rounded up for today.By four, the other apprentice left. I decided to sit down for a few more minutes before leaving too. By 4:24 I picked up my bag, said goodbye to my boss, and started my journey home.

When I got home I was happy and very relieved to find out that dinner had been prepared already all thanks to my mom.atleast that would save me the stress of using charcoal stove later. We will just think of how to warm the food later with gas cylinder.

After that I just relaxed and spent time reading novels on my phone. I’m a lover of novels. I dropped the Ghanaian book I was reading at the shop and started another interesting one on Novelup.

I read till around 8. By eight,i ate my dinner, took my bath, and now I’m here to tell you guys how my day went.
