The Dairy Game: Going To Afang Farm And Doing Other Chores (27-04-2026)

in #thediarygame2 months ago

Hyyy darlings, it’s your favourite girl Kemkem1, I’m here again to share my day with you all. I hope you are all doing well because I’m fine and have fully recovered. I woke up this morning feeling amazed and excited, and I said my prayers before stepping out to begin my daily chores because I had a lot to do. My first task was to go to my neighbour’s Afang farm to buy some fresh Afang leaves for someone who requested it. When I got to the compound, the woman was not around, so I had to wait since she is the only one allowed to pluck the Afang. After waiting for a while, she came back and explained that she had gone to plant pumpkin in her nearby farm. Without wasting time, she went straight into the Afang farm and started plucking the fresh leaves for me. I waited patiently until she finished, then I paid her for the Afang. After that, I quickly left to deliver it to the person who ordered it. It felt good being able to complete that task early and successfully. That was how my day started, and I was already feeling productive and happy.

After delivering the Afang, I went straight to the market to buy a few things I needed. I didn’t plan to spend much time there, as I only wanted to get some okro, lobster, and periwinkle. I quickly bought everything and headed back home without any delay. When I got home, I knew I had to prepare food immediately so I could eat and take my medication on time. Thankfully, my sister was around and she assisted me in the kitchen, which made everything faster and easier. In a short while, the food was ready, and we both sat down to eat together. It was a simple but satisfying meal, and I was glad I didn’t waste time before eating. After we finished, my sister dressed up and left the house to attend to what she had planned for the day. As for me, I went straight to the bathroom to take a shower because I really needed to freshen up and relax. I was already feeling a bit tired, so all I wanted at that moment was to clean up and rest my head.

When I woke up, I had a driving class to attend and I was already running late, so I quickly got ready and rushed out of the house. Instead of trekking, I took a bike to save time because I thought I was behind schedule. Surprisingly, when I got there, I didn’t see the trainer or the other trainees, so I had to sit by the roadside and wait for them. While waiting, I kept myself busy by watching videos on my phone and taking a few pictures. I waited for about 20 minutes before I received a call that they were on their way to pick me up. After the call, I still waited for another five minutes before they finally arrived, and we went to the training area, which is the road we use for practice. The instructor explained some basic things, and then it was my turn to sit behind the steering wheel. At first, I was very tense, but I later calmed down and tried my best. The instructor sat beside me and guided me through everything. Since today was my first day, I know I will improve with time. We ended the class earlier than expected because the instructor had a meeting to attend.

When I left the training centre, I planned to stop by and pick up a few clothes from a vendor, but when I called her, she said she wasn’t around, so I decided to go to church instead. There was no service going on; I only went there to see my dad since I hadn’t seen him since he returned from the hospital. When I got to his place, he was in his room sleeping, so I had to wait for him. While waiting, I used the time to charge my phone and other gadgets. After about 45 minutes, he came out, and I was happy to see him. We sat together, talked, laughed, and discussed different things. After our conversation, he asked me to prepare fruit salad for him, which I did, and he ate before I left. I then came out to the road, entered a keke, and went back home. By the time I arrived, it was already late, and the only food available was the small okro soup I had prepared earlier, but I didn’t feel like eating it. Instead, I soaked garri and drank it, although I couldn’t take my medication because it was too light. I later took my bath and had a long phone call with my fiancé that lasted about two hours before going to bed.
