The Diary Game: Going To Work While Still Sick.(29/6/2026)

Honestly, today was one of the days that reminded me that, being self employed is would always be the best. I have been feeling so down lately, and have been taking drugs, but today was just unexplainable for me.

I woke up with my head banging like a drum. My body was so heavy and doing that dry scratchy thing that doesn't stop. I stood up, managed to get some water, then called work to inform that I would not be able to come. But unfortunately it was declined, really was because a teacher had already taken an excuse for today.

It was around 6:00am, I managed to dress up and headed to school. When I got to school I just headed to my class and was still not feeling strong. After the morning devotion, I managed to teach the children two subjects, history and verbal reasoning.

Honestly I don't even know how I survived those hours of teaching. I was teaching, talking and managing the learners but deep down I was just done. The day seems longer than before, and at a point I had to rest my head on my table and some of my colleagues also noticed and asked me how I was doing.

After the closing time, I couldn't wait for for seconds, I headed home immediately, warmed up my remaining food, reached out to my drugs and slept off for some hours.

Today wasn't really easy for me, and it also taught me a lesson which is to start planning on self employment. One of the benefits of working for yourself is that in a situation like this, you can choose not to work for the day and nobody would query you, but it's very different from working for someone. Even though teaching has been an integral part of me, but today taught me a lesson. Thanks for Reading.
