Kitchen Tiles

So, after finally paying for my 2 kids college degrees, my wife and I are remodeling our kitchen.  So I have a question for Y'all.  What is the difference in a $5 psf tile and a $2.50 psf tile?  Is it durability?  Also what is best for a kitchen floor in which I'll be using a new radiant heat system?
