Koh Tao, a little paradise island of Thailand

Koh Tao is located not far from Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. It’s considered as a little paradise in the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Tao (Koh means island, Tao means turtle) was once a habitat for sea turtles, that’s why this island is called Koh Tao. It’s so sad that the numbers of turtles are decreasing nowadays.

Apart from the above reason, the name of Koh Tao also came from the shape of the island. If you view this island from Koh Phangan, the shape of Koh Tao resembles a turtle.

Koh Tao is famous and can attract many tourists because of its stunning natural beauty; i.e. beautiful white sand beach, crystal-clear turquoise water, beautiful coral reefs and abundant marine life, etc. Koh Tao has a relaxing atmosphere as well.

Koh Tao is therefore a destination for divers, travelers and adventure enthusiasts.
