Darling Harbour, New South Wales, Australia

Darling Harbour in Sydney is a very impressive place; it looked like they have spent so much money on it. I like to avoid the middle of the day as it gets packed out with what feels like thousands of tourists from all over the world. For a long time, it was the Wangal and Gadigal clans of the Eora Aboriginal people. They called it Tumbalong ,meaning a place with much sea food. Later the European settlers called it Long Cove then Cockle Bay. It was changed again to Darling Harbour in 1826 and became very industrialized. The last goods train left the area in 1984 and has now been almost totally redeveloped and is home to Sydney Aquarium, museums, hotels, restaurants, and bars
