A journey from a bell tower to the heart of Camaguey

There are moments in a mother's life when, rather than teaching, you learn to see the world through your daughter's amazed eyes, and you rediscover the magic of places that, because they are so familiar, you had forgotten to look at carefully. That was exactly what happened to me last Saturday, when I decided to fulfill my promise to teach my little girl to know and love the place where she was born, this endearing and labyrinthine city of Camaguey.
