This device is fixed by a doctor or nurse to the umbilical cord of a newborn baby to prevent infection and stop blood flow. It is made of medical-grade PVC, which is non-toxic, pyrogen-free, and EO sterilized to provide protection to a newborn baby. It is designed with smooth edges, enabling it to be fixed and removed safely 24 to 48 hours later, once the cord is dry.
