A Walk Along Sucre Street in Cumaná: From the Posada San Francisco to the Casa Ramos Sucre

in #walk27 days ago

I continue my tour along this historic street in Cumaná, and arguably, in the Americas, given the city's origins.

Descending from Cerro Quetepe along the northern route, we rejoin Sucre Street. Here, we immediately encounter a relatively recently opened establishment that adds significant value to this area. I'm referring to the Posada San Francisco, established by one of those foreigners who have contributed greatly to the city; in this case, a Swiss man who had the vision to purchase a beautiful house in the "colonial style," as it's known, and offer a space primarily for tourism
