I think that unrolling SBD right now (conversion) would be more useful than @timcliff's suggestion. I actually suggested the idea of user initated creation of SBD contracts quite a long time ago when I was campaigning to have it removed.
I don't think that removing SBD is necessary (IE, ceasing to issue it, possibly automatically converting all remaining). I think it may well serve as a brake on steem prices in a positive way, allowing it to weather selloffs that see other coins plummet in price, more easily.

Thought normal trading had resumed
@ausbitbank @steemdoller are lowest after 3 month and may go down further more . as with the boom o bitcoin is goes up and now all crypto are down steem is unable to retain its power and value . it have chances of go bit more down around $.50 to .60 and then bounce back again as bitcoin.
This is the all time chart for Steem Dollars, we're right where we were always supposed to be - $1 each.
Steem Dollars are redeemable for $1 worth of Steem, there is no reason to sell for less.
It was mind blowing for me to see SBD to fall under $1, let's see how long it will stay there for.
I'm glad to see you are still in the Top 30 and hopefully one day you can get into the Top 10 if you do get enough votes that is.

Thanks for your support, I'm mostly just surprised the overpriced SBD lasted as long as it did. I expect a little noob panic but its a pretty safe bet to buy SBD under $1 imo so we should stick pretty tight to the peg for a while if not just above.
It is time to buy SBD. I think the SBD should be held at 1USD and no traded externally. Trading it externally puts a lot of pressure on the peg. It is like the CHF a couple of years ago.
