growing up in suburban North America, I never had any real connection with my heritage, and there wasn't anything particularly rich in soul about the environment I grew up in.
your experience seems pretty interesting in contrast - like something out of an adventure story.
makes me curious for the pictures that'd go with it... :-)
We take growing up here for granted, but I try to be grateful for it.
