They don’t have much of a choice. Being centralized and part of Google means susceptible to GOV/FED regulations— like 10years ago when they put a stop on StockTweets. They don’t like the idea of non professionals giving financial advice and un-vetted news reporting regarding people’s money and investments.

YouTube (Google) sucks regarding it’s users yes, but a lot is due to outside influences and gov regulations.
