You say that you took those photos from an old cell phone. That you use homemade filters, that seems fascinating to me.

As for remaking lenses, you can start by taking an old "unnecessary" lens, disassembling it and leaving only one front lens. You will receive a monocle. You can also flip this single lens 180 degrees, but this is not necessary :).
