RE: SLC33-W5: My Community, My Story – Festivals, Culture & Traditions
The main attraction of Pohela Baishakh, Eid, or Puja festivals in open spaces like Cantt Bazaar is the traditional food of various dishes around the fair. In my opinion, the stalls of jilapi, khaja, batasa, coconut gulgula, or sweets bring real life back to these events. When people of different religions and castes sit side by side in a shop and share food, social distance or differences are bound to disappear. Such events are not only entertainment but also an important means of maintaining folk traditions and strengthening the mutual relations of the society. If any outside visitor comes to such an environment, he will be able to directly experience our social harmony and the traditional beauty of the fair. Best wishes to you in this contest. 😊
