What is the name of the culture, festival or tradition that is celebrated in your community? Tell us where it is usually held and share the location on Google Maps, Steam Atlas and Google Plus.

The place I went to is Cantt Bazar. This is the place where we in the community hold various types of events and these events are held at different times including cultural events like Pohela Baishakh, Eid, Puja Nabanna etc. All these events are festivals or traditions celebrated in my culture. They are usually held at different places. These types of festivals are usually held in a large open field or a large school field and open spaces around the road. I have visited the places where these events are celebrated in my community and I have given the location where they are held. If you want, you can reach here through the given location.

Why is this festival or tradition important in your community?

My community organizes such events to bring people together and celebrate different types of festivals. And through such events, all the people around the village can come together and every person can forget their religion, social discrimination and all the barriers and come together. And every person can share their happiness, everyone can celebrate together and have a great time together. These events can change the mindset of every person. Many people are trapped in the society with their caste. Such events can bring everyone together. These events in my community bring together people of all the strangers and different religions and for everyone and for everyone to live together and solve any problem in the society, they must come together. For these reasons, such events are important in my community and such festivals help to maintain our tradition and are a reflection of our tradition.

What kind of activities do they like: music, dance, food, rituals, clothing, etc.

People here like different types of activities and when there is a kind of event, many types of activities are organized together. The most organized are the shops around the shops. There are different types of food shops around the shops. The most crowded are the sweet shops. Everyone comes to visit and share the joy and at the same time, everyone sits together and eats in these shops. Different types of food are available in these shops. These are the favorite foods of all of us. There are many other types of food shops including batasa, mishti, manda, mithai. When there is any event, these food shops get crowded. Everyone eats and drinks as they please from these shops and enjoys all the events.

Tell us which aspect of this tradition or celebration you enjoy the most.

I enjoy the various types of traditional food shops that come here the most during this traditional celebration. Because if the food and drink at those events are not as good as I want, then the event will not be as interesting as I want. These types of food shops are the most important for me to make these festivals more interesting because in these types of food shops we can eat different types of food and we can enjoy the events as well. In such events, we can all come together and also buy food from different types of food stalls and those foods have retained our traditions. Those types of foods make it more attractive. We have various types of arrangements around all the events. In addition to food stalls, various types of events make the atmosphere here more pleasant.

The main attraction of Pohela Baishakh, Eid, or Puja festivals in open spaces like Cantt Bazaar is the traditional food of various dishes around the fair. In my opinion, the stalls of jilapi, khaja, batasa, coconut gulgula, or sweets bring real life back to these events. When people of different religions and castes sit side by side in a shop and share food, social distance or differences are bound to disappear. Such events are not only entertainment but also an important means of maintaining folk traditions and strengthening the mutual relations of the society. If any outside visitor comes to such an environment, he will be able to directly experience our social harmony and the traditional beauty of the fair. Best wishes to you in this contest. 😊

Review:
Every tribes have they own culture, tradition, and way of life. However, you weren't supposed to share traditional foods, as your write-up and images don't match each other. All the images you shared were used for traditional food, and now you're sharing them for "SLC33-W5: My Community, My Story – Festivals, Culture & Traditions," which is not what is required of participants.
