RE: SLC-S33/W5 | Beyond the Map : The Living Heritage

Assalamu-alaikum @mahadisalim Bhai, your post on the pottery and handicraft market at Doel Chattar has been presented very well. It is a great example of how traditional clay, bamboo, rattan, and jute items have kept our folk crafts alive in the midst of modernity. I think it is a big challenge to maintain the demand for such local products in the midst of plastic and Chinese products. However, if we increase the use of these products in our daily lives, apart from Pohela Boishakh or other festivals, then these rural artisans will be assured of their livelihood. The experience you wrote about visiting this traditional environment with friends on an August afternoon gives a great touch of folk culture even in the midst of the mechanical life of Dhaka city. I follow each of your posts, and the quality of my posts has improved a bit compared to before due to following your posts regularly. Best wishes to you in this contest. 😊
