Today, I was told to work from home as I had been assigned an approval task. My subordinates were continuously uploading data on the website, which needed to be checked and verified at different stages, one of them being assigned to me. For that, staying online was quite essential, as whatever was uploaded had to be checked and forwarded at the same time.

Since I had to stay at home, I felt quite relaxed because the commuting time between my office and home was saved. I utilized that time in different activities, like helping my mother in the kitchen garden and assisting her with some household work.

I started my day with prayers, embracing peace and positivity, which helped me stay committed and composed throughout the day. After finishing my breakfast and other chores, I read a few pages of my history book and then went to help my mother in the kitchen garden. Once I was done, I returned to my room and logged into the portal to begin my work.

I continued working till lunchtime and even beyond, into the late afternoon. During that time, I managed to complete all the pending assignments in my login. After finishing my work, I stepped outside to breathe in some fresh air and enjoy nature. The greenery has started to return to the valley after the long, harsh winter, which made the surroundings feel lively again.

Later, I visited one of my friend’s shops in the main market of the village, where I bought some noodles to enjoy later in the day. I also had a long conversation over the phone with a friend who is currently out of state, busy with some assignment. It was enjoyable to talk to him after a long time, and we shared everything we had in mind.

In the evening, my maternal uncle called and informed me that his son—my cousin—was not feeling well and was experiencing strong palpitations. He asked me to accompany him to the hospital. I first checked his blood pressure using a BP apparatus, and it was higher than normal, around 150–160, which made me a bit worried. We quickly headed to the hospital.

Upon reaching there, we consulted the available doctor. Since it was night, the patient was advised to undergo some tests before any medication could be prescribed. After conducting tests like an ECG and reviewing the reports, we felt greatly relieved. The doctor said that there was nothing serious and that it might be due to minor reasons that would settle in a few days.

We stayed at the hospital for some time until he felt better, and around 11:30 PM, we were allowed to leave. Although I had been worried, I remained hopeful for his quick recovery—and thankfully, he did improve.

After returning to the village, my uncle insisted that I stay the night at their place along with my cousins so that we could keep an eye on him. Late at night, I finally went to sleep after making sure that my cousin had settled comfortably.
