RE: The 250 year old, Treaty Oak in Jacksonville, Florida
Go to the very end of Cedar point road, and its about 30 minutes walk to the site, or you can go through the bushes about 1000 feet and be there in 10 mins, but you will be covered in ticks. Go to the left at the end of the road, and theres a boat ramp, not many people know about, launch there and it spits you onto Marker 75, and Ft Georget inlet, AKA the Redneck Riviera is right there. If you turn left onto Pumpkin Hill rd, before going to the end, travel to the end of Pumpkin Hill rd, and you will pass several Park ranger stations, and theres a massive Equestrian center on the left side of the road, about 8 miles. Keep going to the end, and on the right theres a kayak launching place with bathrooms and you can camp there. Keep going and you will see several different park buildings with roofs and BBQ grills for family gatherings etc. I like the way they spaced them about half mile apart, for privacy. Google earth it.
